The Ingles Trek Kokoda
Story
Australian sporting power couple Joe & Renae Ingles along with Health and Fitness Holidays, Entertainment By Vin (Authentic Autographs and Events Australia) are teaming together to shine a light on supporting families and children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Joe Ingles (Australian Boomer/Utah Jazz NBA Player) along with his wife Renae (Melbourne Vixens/Australian Diamonds player) recently shared their story and experiences publicly after finding out their gorgeous boy Jacob's autism diagnosis.
They will be trekking Kokoda with a group of 24 paid up guests to raise awareness and highlight what an ASD diagnosis can have on families. They hope families in a similar position will follow their adventure and not feel alone in their own journey.
This Kokoda trek will be extremely physically and mentally taxing, and both Joe and Renae hope that by taking on this monumental task it helps them raise awareness for this amazing cause.
For those that can support financially we have this page set up and will forever grateful for any contributions made!
Activity
4 ASD Kids Charitable Trust
In 2009 we went public about our son Max’s battle with autism. It’s something that we considered very deeply but felt by telling our story we may be able to assist families with similar challenges. After the initial publicity we were so overwhelmed by the messages of support and assistance that we formed our charity, 4 ASD Kids. Our dream is to be able to change the lives of families with children battling with an Autism Spectrum Disorder by assisting them to access the early intervention treatment that we believe is critical to giving these kids the best chance at leading a normal life and reaching their full potential.
